Amaze Your Guests During the Holiday Season

1. Pumpkin & Sausage
Let's start with an evergreen combination: pumpkin and sausage . A combination that we are used to finding above all as a condiment for pasta and risotto, but this time we thought of a tasty and original finger food , perfect to accompany a fresh glass of sparkling wine: little parcels of phyllo pastry with pumpkin and smoked sausage . A delicious appetizer that will give the right start to your dinner. First of all it is important to dedicate yourself to the different preparations. To obtain the mixture, simply blend the pumpkin cooked in the oven with the onion broth with the Kenwood Food Processor, and brown some diced smoked sausage separately. After that, simply spread the phyllo dough cut into squares on a baking tray, add the filling and cover with a second layer of phyllo dough. Then everything in the oven for about ten minutes, and you're done. Do you want to give an extra touch to this appetizer ? Our advice is to serve it with a spicy sauce with cream cheese and sour cream. Seeing is believing.

2. Fish Appetizer
Are you looking for an appetizer that is easy to prepare but certainly effective ? With this recipe we move on to a classic of Italian regional cuisine. Which? Creamed cod . And even if you are not Venetian, we are sure that this dish will make you salivate. With the Kenwood Cooking Chef XL and the addition of the K whisk, making creamed cod will be a real breeze. We especially like it paired with a pumpkin puree , chestnuts cooked with the oil cooking technique, and finally a mayonnaise with yogurt and goat's cheese , which will give that extra punch to the appetizer. But there are many recipes with which you can accompany your creamed cod: as in the classic polenta crostini or as a special filling for a dish of tortelli !

3. Vegan Appetizer
Now we want to offer you an appetizer that is a classic of international street food , ideal if you are thinking of starting your New Year's Eve dinner with a small welcome aperitif . We're talking about tacos ! The iconic dish of Mexican cuisine, which due to its versatile nature can be made in different ways. We thought of a totally vegan version : mini tacos with chickpea cream and vegetables . With the Kenwood Planetary Mixer you don't need anything else for this recipe. First of all, boil the chickpeas, then blend them hummus style with lemon juice, tahini, garlic, salt and chilli. Then cut and cook the vegetables, which you can choose according to your favorite flavors (we couldn't resist pairing them with courgettes, aubergines and cherry tomatoes). Finally, for the taco dough use corn flour, water and a pinch of salt. Then cook the dough and whip with the K whisk , create the tortillas and cook for a minute on a non-stick pan. Now all you have to do is compose your mini tacos and enjoy them in good company. Also try them in the classic Mexican version or in the fish version with shrimp.
