Kwarezimal
A traditional Easter recipe which is loved by all

Ingredients:
- 375g ground almonds
- 225g granulated sugar
- 250g plain flour
- 15g coca powder
- 2g mixed spice powder
- 8g cinnamon powder
- 2pcc orange juice & zest
- 1/2pc lemon zest
- 3g orange blossom water
- 5g vanilla extract
- 3g almond extract
- chopped almonds
- honey
- water
You will also need:
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 175 degrees
- Add almonds, sugar, cocoa powder, and spices to the Kenwood Kitchen Machine.
- Attach the mixer bowl to the machine and fit the K-beater and the splash guard.
- Mix on speed for 2 minutes
- Start adding the wet ingredients slowly (you might not need to add them all)
- Mix until combined into a dough
- Take out the dough on a clean surface and split into 6 equal pieces
- Roll each piece into a log shape (do not flatten)
- With the back knife, dent the dough criss-cross
- Bake for around 12 - 14 minutes
- Take it out of the oven and immediately brush with honey
- Sprinkle chopped nuts
- Allow to cool overnight
- Eat & enjoy!
